So one of the modifications I managed to make were a "float" mechanic. Essentially if you pressed left shift you start floating as your gravity was turned down to 0 for 1 second. The second modification I was working on was a change to the art work of the game. I had this idea of making the character into a square with a red scarf jumping across roof tops unfortunately I couldn't get the sprite to work. The idea was easier to do on the main menu modification as I was able to create the assets in Photoshop and put them together in Unity. The float mechanic in the game originally was meant to be a dash but I really struggled to modify the movement code in the game because I'm not fully fluent yet in C#. So I'm a bit disappointed in that but I made what I was able to do work. I also created a few levels that I made sure to include the idea that Celeste's developers talked about, there's an obvious way to move through the game but then there's also the less obvious way to skip parts of the level to do it quicker.
